Over the break, CUE announced that there was over 10 thousand dollars raised for the CUE Cupboard! This allowed CUE to provide 100 hampers to students facing food insecurity.
Register for Flip the Script! The script says women can’t fight back against perpetrators, but CUE Wellness wants to flip the script. Join the EAAA sexual assault resistance program. This program aims to give young women tools to fight back. This will be hosted on January 14th, 21st, 28th, and February 4th. You can register on CUE Wellness’s Instagram bio.
CUE joins AI Workforce Readiness Program! In November 2025, CUE joined a consortium of 29-postsecondary institutions led by the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii). This reaffirms CUE’s commitment to preparing students for job markets influenced by Ai.
The Battle of Edmonton Hockey game witnessed Thunder Men’s hockey team lose to NAIT Ooks after a hard-fought battle at the Silent Ice Centre. But the sports season is officially back!
Career week is happening from January 19th – 23th. Throughout the week, CUE will be hosting workshops and on January 21st will be the Career Fair! Stay tuned for more information!
Financial Fridays are back! Financial Aid and Awards advisors will be in Tegler Student Centre on Friday, January 23rd from 11:30am – 1pm to test your financial knowledge. There will be fun, games, and prizes!
On February 4th, CUE is hosting a Black History Month Market — a market to celebrate Black excellence, culture, and creativity.
The time to vote for your next CSA elections is steadily approaching. If you’re interested in becoming a nominee, informational packages are available for pickup from February 9 in Tegler.
Voting will open on March 10th and close the 12th.

January 10: Watch the Battle of Edmonton at Silent Ice Centre. Along with watching Thunder vs. Ook, there will be a Best Sign Contest and a Raffle draw for the fans who donated to the Winter Clothing Drive.
December 15 – January 11: Have you heard of Banksy? A famous mysterious graffiti artist who is featured around the world. Well, he’s coming to Edmonton for a limited time. January 15: Whiskey Lovers can attend the Edmonton Whiskey Festival. For one night only, you can try whiskey from around the world. Proceeds from the festival will go to MS Canada. Tickets are $125, so make sure to truly be a whiskey lover.
January 18 – 19: If you like to freeze while looking at ice sculptures and enjoying music and good food, look no further than Deep Freeze: a Byzantine Winter Bash. Celebrate Ukrainian, Indigenous, and French-Canadian cultures with art, culture, food, and fun. Hosted on 118th avenue, attendance is free and you can even watch people race in deep freezers.
January 22 – 26: Winterruption is an unforgettable week of music at different local venues. Looking to expand your musical horizons? Look no further than Winterruption: pick a night and head to that venue.
January 29 – February 1: Flying Canoe Volant is a yearly tradition where you can celebrate local history and everything great about winter’s night. The event is inspired by the legend of The Flying Canoe and French Canadian, First Nations, and Metis Traditions. Dress warm! It’s a long walk.
January 30: Splash and Bash at West Ed’s World Water Park. With $20 tickets for students, it’s something to not be missed!
