About The Bolt

The BOLT is the official student media outlet at Concordia University of Edmonton, founded with the goal of empowering students through storytelling, investigative reporting, and creative expression. Our content is published regularly online and in print and is produced by the BOLT, an independent, student-run, not-for-profit organization operated in accordance with the Societies Act of Alberta.

Territorial Acknowledgement

The BOLT respectfully acknowledges that we are situated on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional lands of the First Nations and Métis peoples, and specifically on the lands of Amiskwacîwâskahikan (Beaver Hills House). We honour and respect the diverse histories, languages, and cultures of the peoples of this territory.

  • To provide a fair, transparent, and trustworthy source of information, primarily focused on issues that directly impact students—locally, nationally, and globally.

Rebekah Brunham
Editor-in-Chief

Rebekah is the Editor-in-Chief for The Bolt.

She graduated with distinction from MacEwan’s Bachelor of Communications degree, where she majored in Journalism. She has been published with other magazines and newspapers in the city of Edmonton.

In her spare time, she can be found reading, sewing, and creating a zine (as if there’s not enough on her plate).
